Arrived to remedy a system that is reportedly not heating well. Upon inspection of the system found that the humidifier panel is covered in bacterial growth. Took this outside. Removed the panel and cleaned up the bracket. Returned the bracket to the homeowner and cleaned up the humidifier housing. Indoor air quality should improve significantly over the next month or so. Performed diagnostic on the furnace. Did not find any sign of the system not keeping up or not heating properly. Let the system run for an extended period of time to ensure that it will not overheat. Determined the issue resides in the smart ac sensor. Relocated the sensor to inside a supply duct in the living room. System is functioning properly at this time.

Went for a maintenance call today for heat. Tested for static pressure system is passing when in heat. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Did a combustion test is within range. Inspected heat exchanger no cracks/leaks were detected. Did notice blower wheel has been building up dust will recommend a cleaning as well uv to help sanitize. Checked temp split and is passing for specifications. Did replace filter for customer. As well replaced water panel that was provided. Cleaned flame sensor and pressure switch hose. Water resistor at the bottom of the humidifier was clogged. I cleared the water resistor, adjusted water pressure, and let the humidifier run for 15 minutes to ensure that it would not overflow. Humidifier is working properly at departure.

Arrived for furnace out. Plastic was sucked up into furnace. No damage was caused, plastic was removed. Started a furnace check and found ducts are dirty, blower wheel is dirty, and blower capacitor is failed. Put together solutions for cleanings. Today you joined our membership and replaced capacitor. Went for a tune up call today for heat. When doing inspection on furnace. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Did a combustion test is within range. Customer called in needing hammer arrestors installed for laundry washer. Customer recently purchased a new washer and makes a very loud noise when water shuts off for washer. Customers laundry valves are currently seized up and won’t turn off the water. Went to check water pressure and water pressure is at 120psi. Expansion tank to water heater has also failed and full of water. Educated customer on high water pressure and what issues it can cause and also contributing to the water hammering issues for new washer. After going over options, customer decided to go ahead and get prv installed and expansion tank replaced. Shut off water to home and installed new PRV, lowered ball valve for easier use, and replaced expansion tank by water heater. Set prv and expansion tank to 75psi. If customer chooses to replace laundry box, we will provide hammer arrestors at no additional cost. Went over water quality as well with customer. Customer called back that their toilet is still running. Monitored toilet for awhile and noticed that flushing mechanism came loose and not causing toiler to seal properly. Went ahead and took flushing mechanism apart and inspected seal. Didn’t see any tears in flush seal. Put everything back together snd kept monitoring toilet and toilet no longer leaking through flush seal.

Reviewed our online special with homeowner. They would like to take advantage of the free Uv with duct cleaning promotion.

Completed furnace, maintenance and inspection. I cleaned flame sensor and wiped down furnace. I tested components and amp draws. I checked air pressure and temp splits. I tested for carbon monoxide, which read 0PPM. Air filter is almost 7 months old and is dirty. Customer has already ordered new filters so they will change it once they come in. The humidifier pad needed changed out. I did that today with customer approval. Talked with customer about air quality in the home. They are going to have floors and kitchen island redone in February so they would like to possibly look at having the ductwork cleaned while taking advantage of the UV special with the duct cleaning. They would most likely schedule it for late February or March. The furnace is operating within manufacture specifications at departure.
