Job Locations and Reviews
Upon receiving a call from a concerned customer, we promptly addressed the issue of leaking laundry gate valves. Our team conducted a thorough inspection to identify the root cause of the leaks. After assessing the situation, we provided a detailed quote for the necessary repairs. Additionally, the customer requested assistance in running gas to a stove located outside. We meticulously planned the gas line installation, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Our skilled technicians executed the job with precision, replacing the faulty gate valves and successfully installing the gas line to the outdoor stove. The customer was satisfied with the quality of work and the professionalism displayed throughout the process.
Upon receiving a call about a continuously running toilet, I promptly assessed the situation. Upon inspection, the fill valve was found to be the issue, as it failed to shut off even after the float reached its stopping point. I measured the water pressure, which was at 90psi, exceeding the recommended 80psi. This high pressure was the primary cause of the fill valve failure. I discussed the options with the customer, who opted for a fill valve replacement. I explained that no warranty would apply due to the known high water pressure. I then installed a new fill valve along with a fresh supply line. After completion, I thoroughly checked for leaks and confirmed that none were present.
We successfully installed a backup system for the customer's existing single pump. The primary objective was to ensure the finished basement remained protected from potential flooding. Our team began by thoroughly assessing the current pump setup and identifying the most suitable backup system. We then installed a secondary pump, equipped with an automatic switch to activate in case the primary pump fails. Additionally, we configured a reliable alarm system to notify the customer of any issues. The backup system was tested to confirm its functionality, and we provided detailed instructions for its maintenance and operation. This installation significantly enhances the basement's resilience against water damage.
A customer contacted us with multiple concerns. We addressed their questions and proposed running three gas fixtures to the exterior deck. This involved installing a 1” gas line to each fixture, totaling approximately 20-30 feet of gas line. We ensured proper access to the underside of the deck before beginning. The bid includes all necessary parts and materials for the gas line installation.
Upon receiving a call from the customer, we were informed about unusual hammering sounds near the water heater. To address this, we first attempted to recreate the issue, but it did not manifest during our inspection. Understanding the importance of accurately diagnosing the problem, we advised the customer to record a video of the occurrence and contact us again. This video would help us pinpoint the exact source of the hammering, ensuring a precise and effective resolution. Our goal was to provide a thorough and accurate diagnosis, ensuring the customer's satisfaction and the longevity of their system.
Upon arrival, I identified a leak from the T&P valve on the customer's water heater. The customer has two 50-gallon water heaters without an expansion tank. I measured the water pressure, which was 110 psi, and found that the Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) had failed. I explained the concepts of thermal expansion and high water pressure to the customer. After discussing options, the customer chose to install a new expansion tank and replace the PRV. I installed a new PRV and a 4.5-gallon expansion tank to accommodate the two water heaters. Post-installation, I checked for leaks and adjusted the home pressure and expansion tank pressure to 75 psi, ensuring everything was functioning correctly.
Upon inspection, it appeared that either the water sensors or the control board might be faulty. Due to a power outage, I couldn't complete the diagnosis. To expedite the resolution, I installed a jumper in the water sensor harness. This will help determine if the issue lies with the sensors or the control board once power is restored.
Patrick was very professional! I highly recommend him and LBA for any future service
I arrived to address an inoperable system. After inspection, I found it idle. Setting the system for cooling, I initiated diagnostics at the furnace. All signals and power were verified on the furnace and control board. The furnace fan was heavily coated with dust and debris. After cleaning, I successfully created a call for cooling, restarting the system. Outside, I checked the heat pump unit, finding amp draws within normal range. Further diagnostics on the condenser control system revealed a failed capacitor, preventing startup. After discussing repair options with the homeowner, I replaced the failed capacitor and secured loose electrical connections. Powering the system, I confirmed proper operation at the furnace.
I diagnosed a thermostat with a blank screen, discovering the service switch to the furnace was off. After restoring power, I configured the new thermostat and tested the HVAC system. The system responded correctly to commands. Noting the system's age, I discussed potential replacement options for improved efficiency and reliability. The job was completed successfully, ensuring the home’s comfort.
Excellent service
I conducted a performance maintenance check, setting up for combustion analysis, temperature split, and static pressure tests. The furnace was dangerously close to overheating, with an 81-degree temperature rise against a maximum rated rise of 55 degrees. I verified all mechanical and electronic components, finding the port from the inducer to the pressure switch deteriorating, which could cause complete furnace failure. The blower was heavily coated in dust, and the heat exchanger and flue pipe were severely degraded, making the furnace unsafe. I tagged the system red and disabled the heat. I discussed repair options and pricing but the homeowner declined any repairs.
A customer reported a leaking outside faucet installed last year. Upon inspection, I identified the leak originating from the packing nut. I carefully tightened the packing nut using the appropriate tools, ensuring it was secure without over-tightening. After the adjustment, I tested the faucet to confirm the leak had ceased. The faucet is now functioning properly.
I conducted a thorough AC maintenance and inspection. I cleaned the AC coil and replaced the air filter. I measured air pressure and temperature splits, and tested all components and amp draws. Initially, the thermostat signaled for the AC to turn on, but it failed to start. I performed a system update and restarted it, then double-checked all wiring and connections via the app. After the update and restart, the AC started properly. I then restarted the furnace, which functioned correctly, followed by successfully restarting the AC. The system is now operating within manufacturer specifications.
I successfully removed the old sump pump and replaced it with a new Zoeller 1/2 model. The old pump had reached the end of its service life, leading to a failure that caused water to back up into the pit and flood the basement. After installation, I thoroughly tested the new unit to ensure it was operating correctly, with no faults detected. The replacement was completed efficiently, restoring proper drainage and preventing future flooding.
Dre was great, provided multiple options and confirmed a previous diagnosis. Appreciate him coming out late on a Friday and taking the time to explain options that make sense for our situation.
I evaluated various equipment options to optimize energy efficiency and indoor comfort. This included a thorough assessment of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Additionally, I introduced Aeroseal, a cutting-edge solution that seals air leaks within the home, ensuring a more balanced internal temperature. This process involved identifying and sealing gaps in ductwork, walls, and floors. The result was a significant improvement in energy efficiency and a more comfortable living environment.
I performed a comprehensive furnace maintenance and inspection. The flame sensor was cleaned, and the furnace was wiped down. I tested amp draws and components, air pressure, and temperature splits. The heat exchanger was inspected, and carbon monoxide levels were measured at 3 ppm. The evaporator coil was found clogged with debris, potentially causing airflow issues. The heat exchanger showed significant wear, with rusted and chipping O-rings, and multiple spots at risk of developing holes. I explained the findings and the potential for major repairs or replacement this year.
