This task will be removing the existing tub and converting over into a shower adding in a new single handle shower valve. Upon arrival, the customer stated they had little to no hot water. We began our diagnostic process and also observed that the bathtub had a visible crack. We informed the customer that a cracked tub can lead to severe issues, including water damage and structural concerns, if not properly addressed. Additionally, we found that the customer’s fill valve was failing. The customer expressed interest in converting the existing tub to a shower. We presented two options: Option 1: Remove the existing tub and complete a full shower conversion. Option 2: Leave the existing tub in place and coordinate with a restoration company for repairs. The customer approved Option 1, and we proceeded with removing the bathtub and shower valve to begin the installation process. During demolition, we discovered active water spraying in the crawlspace on the hot water line. We immediately

Completed furnace maintenance. Heat exchanger is not in good condition. I showed customer and customer would like to see options for heat exchanger and system.

Completed furnace, maintenance and inspection. I cleaned flame sensors and wiped down furnaces. I tested amp draws and components. I checked air pressure and temp splits. The air pressure on the upstairs unit is a little over the max. Main floor system air pressure is at 80% of max, which is what is recommended for the system. We talked about some possible solutions with the flex duct in the attic and duct cleaning. Both furnaces are operational at departure.

Went for a tune up call today for heat. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Did a combustion test is within range. Inspected heat exchanger no cracks/leaks were detected. However did find rust on eyelids did show customer finding.Temp split and is passing for specifications on furnace. Cleaned flame sensor and pressure switch hose. System is up and running before departure. As well removed humidifier per customer request and collected payment. Perform plumbing maintenance inspection for customer today. Please refer to inspection sheets for further details. Customer was interested in replacing her toilets in the master bathroom. She’s had issues with it in the past, toilet is original to the house which was built 20 years ago. Also noticed the water pressure to the house is at 95 psi, per code, we want water pressure to be at 80 psi. Water heater is 20 years old. Informed customer that water heaters last between 10 and 12 years now. Gave customer options. Customer decided to go ahead and get water heater, prv, and toilet install. Will return Wednesday morning to perform work.

Returned to install new 50 gallon water heater, 4.5 gallon expansion tank, and new PRV. Removed and hauled away old water heater. Installed new 50 gallon water heater. Plumbed in both water heaters in parallel system. Both water heaters have ball valves on hot and cold side to isolate water heaters in case one goes down. Also reworked the flue. Installed new PRV and expansion tank. Set both for 75psi. Checked for leaks and no leaks detected. Also augured kitchen drain line for customer.

Went for a service call on system, smell coming from vents was system. Board on furnace has internal burnt out. Blower motor is not responsive when trying to bypass. Arrived at the customer house and her hot water was fluctuating. We determined that the fluctuating was caused by calcium build up in the valve. We also did notice there to be a hole in the tub which can cause major issues. So we sent the restoration company out to check and they found a lot of moisture behind the tub and ceiling so customer wants to replace tub and add a shower in along with a new shower valve.

Customer called in about water only getting mild warm. Upon arrival saw that water heaters are plumbed in in a series. The secondary water heater is down. Primary water heater only 6 years old. Due to how water heaters are plumbed in, secondary water heater water is cold and only gets fed hot water from primary water heater. Will need to replace water heater or remove from the system. Gave customer options and customer opted to go ahead and get water heater replaced along with new expansion tank and prv. Customer would also like water heaters to be plumbed in parallel so both heaters are being used at the same time. Will return tomorrow morning to install.
