Job Locations and Reviews
I diagnosed a thermostat with a blank screen, discovering the service switch to the furnace was off. After restoring power, I configured the new thermostat and tested the HVAC system. The system responded correctly to commands. Noting the system's age, I discussed potential replacement options for improved efficiency and reliability. The job was completed successfully, ensuring the home’s comfort.
Excellent service
I conducted a performance maintenance check, setting up for combustion analysis, temperature split, and static pressure tests. The furnace was dangerously close to overheating, with an 81-degree temperature rise against a maximum rated rise of 55 degrees. I verified all mechanical and electronic components, finding the port from the inducer to the pressure switch deteriorating, which could cause complete furnace failure. The blower was heavily coated in dust, and the heat exchanger and flue pipe were severely degraded, making the furnace unsafe. I tagged the system red and disabled the heat. I discussed repair options and pricing but the homeowner declined any repairs.
A customer reported a leaking outside faucet installed last year. Upon inspection, I identified the leak originating from the packing nut. I carefully tightened the packing nut using the appropriate tools, ensuring it was secure without over-tightening. After the adjustment, I tested the faucet to confirm the leak had ceased. The faucet is now functioning properly.
I conducted a thorough AC maintenance and inspection. I cleaned the AC coil and replaced the air filter. I measured air pressure and temperature splits, and tested all components and amp draws. Initially, the thermostat signaled for the AC to turn on, but it failed to start. I performed a system update and restarted it, then double-checked all wiring and connections via the app. After the update and restart, the AC started properly. I then restarted the furnace, which functioned correctly, followed by successfully restarting the AC. The system is now operating within manufacturer specifications.
I successfully removed the old sump pump and replaced it with a new Zoeller 1/2 model. The old pump had reached the end of its service life, leading to a failure that caused water to back up into the pit and flood the basement. After installation, I thoroughly tested the new unit to ensure it was operating correctly, with no faults detected. The replacement was completed efficiently, restoring proper drainage and preventing future flooding.
Dre was great, provided multiple options and confirmed a previous diagnosis. Appreciate him coming out late on a Friday and taking the time to explain options that make sense for our situation.
I evaluated various equipment options to optimize energy efficiency and indoor comfort. This included a thorough assessment of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Additionally, I introduced Aeroseal, a cutting-edge solution that seals air leaks within the home, ensuring a more balanced internal temperature. This process involved identifying and sealing gaps in ductwork, walls, and floors. The result was a significant improvement in energy efficiency and a more comfortable living environment.
I performed a comprehensive furnace maintenance and inspection. The flame sensor was cleaned, and the furnace was wiped down. I tested amp draws and components, air pressure, and temperature splits. The heat exchanger was inspected, and carbon monoxide levels were measured at 3 ppm. The evaporator coil was found clogged with debris, potentially causing airflow issues. The heat exchanger showed significant wear, with rusted and chipping O-rings, and multiple spots at risk of developing holes. I explained the findings and the potential for major repairs or replacement this year.
I conducted a comprehensive furnace inspection today. The static pressure was within acceptable limits, and the heat exchanger showed no signs of wear or damage. A carbon monoxide test yielded a reading of 0ppm, indicating no leaks. The temperature rise across the system was satisfactory. All electrical components were tested and found to be functioning correctly. Additionally, I replaced the air filter to ensure optimal airflow. The furnace was operational and running smoothly at the end of the service.
Upon arrival, I identified that the customer's first or second generation Nest thermostat was no longer compatible with the app due to discontinued software updates. I explained the situation and offered to install a smart thermostat, presenting the pricing details. The customer declined this option. I then suggested several alternative Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats that would allow app control. The customer decided to contact Evergy to determine the timeline for a potential installation. I ensured the customer understood the options and the next steps.
I provided Mr. Holden with two detailed quotes for the required services. He requested additional time to compare options, and I assured him of my availability for further consultation. He plans to obtain another quote on Thursday to ensure he makes an informed decision. I remain ready to assist with any questions or additional information he might need.
I performed a thorough furnace tune-up, ensuring safe and efficient operation. This included inspecting the heat exchanger for cracks and corrosion, verifying safety controls, and checking the venting system. The burner and combustion systems were cleaned and tested, while the blower and airflow were inspected for optimal performance. Electrical connections were tightened, and the system was run through a complete heating cycle to confirm stable operation. The furnace is now operating safely and efficiently.
Upon arrival, I assessed the customer's kitchen line issue and identified a significant blockage. I initiated the process by running the auger to attempt to dislodge the obstruction. Unfortunately, this effort led to the discovery of a deteriorating cast iron pipe. The pipe's condition had caused a pronounced belly, creating an indentation in the line and reducing the pipe's diameter. This deterioration was compromising the integrity of the plumbing system. I carefully opened the line to inspect the damage and provided the customer with a detailed explanation of the situation and potential solutions.
Today, I conducted a comprehensive tune-up for the heating system. I began by testing the static pressure, which passed successfully in the heating mode. All electrical components were checked and confirmed to meet the manufacturer's specifications. A combustion test was performed, and the results were within the acceptable range. I meticulously inspected the heat exchanger, finding no cracks or leaks. The temperature split was also verified, ensuring it met the furnace's specifications. Additionally, I cleaned the flame sensor and pressure switch hose. The system is now fully operational and running efficiently. Thank you for choosing our services.
The task involved removing the broken section from the fitting and reattaching it to the existing pipe. The sump pump discharge line had detached at the fitting. Rather than replacing the 90-degree fitting, we salvaged it. We then installed new pipe sections to connect the existing discharge line, ensuring a secure and efficient connection. This approach saved time and materials while maintaining functionality.
Upon arrival, I inspected a leaking humidifier. After running multiple cycles, I found the unit was improperly mounted, causing it to shift and create a seal gap. I removed and securely reinstalled the humidifier, ensuring it was level and tightly sealed. After reinstallation, I tested the unit multiple times to confirm proper function. The humidifier is now securely mounted, operating correctly, and no longer leaking. Everything is functioning as designed.
