Went to check static pressure and inspect system. It’s a new 5 ton York system installed in December 2023 also had a bypass damper connected. CM count is still failing.

Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Started inspection inside and measured a temperature split between return and supply air. Measured power consumption of the blower motor and checked system for cleanliness. Performed a static pressure test and found that the system is operating beyond manufacturers specifications. Reached out to a field supervisor, to finish the diagnosis on the system static pressure. Went outside and verified system refrigerant charge. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the condenser. Smelled gas by the water heaters. Considering how new they are fixed the gas leak and performed an extensive leak search. Air conditioning system is operational at this time.

Completed annual ac maintenance. Both systems are cooling well. Upstairs system has a dirty blower wheel and a dirty evaporator coil. Downstairs furnace has a leaking inducer and collection box.

Come for no cool, upon arrival went to furnace and check static pressure, check electrical components. Static pressure failed. Opened dampers and changed out filter to try and help static, it still failed. Did make customer aware of it. On outdoor unit, check the capacitor and it failed on the fan side. Went ahead and let customer know, and with customer approval replace capacitor. At this time all systems are running properly.

Upon arrival the AC was not cooling the home. I first went to the furnace and the blower was on and running amps were within manufacturer specs. I did a static pressure test on the system to make sure the airflow was not the problem. The static on this system is rated for a max of .8 and it was testing at .8 so it’s airflow is pretty good but it’s right at the max static pressure. I then went to the outdoor unit and found the fan running but the compressor was off. I then checked the dual run capacitor and found it dead on both sides. I replaced the capacitor at the homeowners request. I did not have a 75/5mfd standard cap on hand so I used a Turbo200X which comes with a 5 year warranty. Customer is aware of the warranty. After replacing the capacitor the system started right up. I checked running amps on the compressor and fan and both were within specs now. System refrigerant levels were looking good and the temp split was right at 15 degrees. Your system is running properly at this

Spoke to homeowner. He is wanting to hold off until next month. I told him I would follow up on July 2.

Called and texted John. Seeing when we could meet up to discuss conditions of the systems and what options are available.

Arrived at the customers home for a 5 system AC maintenance. Upon arrival I put all 5 systems in cooling mode and checked static pressure. I found systems 1,2,4,and 5 to have failed static pressure. I found all 5 systems to have dirty blower wheels. System 4 had a bad fan capacitor on the AC. Systems 1 and 4 are R22 systems that have low refrigerant. System 2 had high compressor startup amps. System 3 had a 410 condenser outside with the original R22 coil inside and was empty on refrigerant and a bad blower capacitor. System 5 had high startup amps on the condenser. Spoke with the customer and he wanted to speak with the field supervisor about fixing the issues to keep them running. Field supervisor will reach out to discuss options.
