Upon arrival I began the furnace tune ups. This home has two 3 ton systems. Both furnaces are 2014 Lennox so they are both 10+ years old. I started with a static pressure test on the main floor unit. These systems are rated for .8 maximum static pressure and the main unit is testing at .8(right at the max). Next, I did a CO test on the main unit. I got hits of CO on my meter at 129ppm(parts per million). Per EPA rules & regulations we are required by law to shut the units down by shutting the gas valve off. I have done this on both units because the 2nd floor unit was also leaking carbon monoxide. I took pictures of the heat exchanger the best I could. The blower wheel on both units are very dirty. Re piped lavatory sink with new 1-1/4 plastic pee trap and new pop up assembly. Tested for leaks everything looks good.

Arrived for furnace maintenance today. System is one year old. Static pressure is at a .5. Heat exchanger looks good. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. Blower wheel is clean. All electrical components are running properly at this time. I changed humidifier pad and made sure water is flowing properly. System is running well. Thanks for choosing LBA.

Upon arrival the homeowner explained that he’s had an ongoing issue with his Lennox AC/Heat Pump making very loud noises. I had the homeowner turn the AC on while I checked things out. I was unable to recreate the loud noise. I then had him switch over to Heat Pump mode and I checked for any noises with the homeowner outside with me. We were unable to recreate that noise but he had a recording on his phone of how loud it gets and it’s very loud. I advised him to try and take another video next time it happens and to call us immediately so we can get back out here and lock in a solution. Gas company notified customer of improper flue and advised sealing chimney penetration, I was able to stretch flue to seat in chimney but was unable to seal it during visit, will need return visit to complete repairs.

Air Conditioner Repair Service: Resolved frequent AC unit circuit breaker trips by diagnosing a faulty compressor. Replaced the component to restore cooling efficiency and ensure consistent operation.

Did maintenances on three furnaces today. Started with the upstairs system. Did a static pressure test, it failed. Did a carbon monoxide leak test, there was no leak. After inspecting the heat exchanger, I noticed severe rust, but no cracks. Combustion analysis test passed. Tested for gas leaks there is no leaks. Gas pressure met factory specifications. Pressure switch passed. Temp split between the supply and return duct passed. Inducer motor amperage passed. Blower wheel is clean and blower motor amperage passed. Filter got changed. Next I did the main furnace. Did a static pressure test, it failed. Did a carbon monoxide leak test, there was no leak. Heat exchanger is In ideal condition. Combustion analysis test passed. Tested for gas leaks there is no leaks. Gas pressure met factory specifications. Pressure switch passed. Temp split between the supply and return duct passed. Inducer motor amperage passed. Blower wheel is clean and blower motor amperage passed. Filter got changed.

Increase the size of the boot, and the return to the transition. Install the register backside of platinum alleviate pressure.

Customer declined water quality inspection and had water heater operating again before we arrived.

Completed 4 system maintenance and inspection. I cleaned up furnaces and flame sensors. I checked all components and amp draws. I tested airflow and temp splits. Airflow pressure on both upstairs systems are failed. I tested carbon monoxide on 3rd floor furnace. After inspection heat exchanger I found where heat exchanger is leaking the carbon monoxide into the home. The exhaust is rusting through and the 3rd floor furnace does not have a designated gas shut off. Exhaust is improperly ran as well. Main floor systems are running within manufacture specifications but do have dust building up on the blower wheels. Talked with customer about systems and they would like some time to decide what to do.
