Came out to be here because yesterday looks like the unit shut off on the start to hum one inspection and procedures I noticed that the unit self was really really low on refrigerant so it could be going into the safety mode when he gets outside doesn’t have enough refrigerant to pump that the compressor basically locks itself out and so it’s just a hum Also take readings of the fan and take it over everything so it’ll be something to get replaced as well. Wrote the customer up an estimate to see what it will be to get that unit up and running and see if there was a leak within the unit. Customer decided to have a field supervisor out to give him an estimate on getting a new unit .
Need to send a bid for relocating 2 supply 8in flex. Need flex. Add one supply 8 inch. Need grill and flex.24x24 grill with no damper. hook heat vent back up in one room this job might be best for a T&M ticket. One person 8 hours

This is for the York split system on the south side of the building. When I arrive the unit was running but no condenser fan movement or compressor. Tested the capacitor which was two taped together both had fail. When I changed it out with a 40/5 capacitor the compressor came on and the blower motor did not. Rick is quoting a new blower motor and blades also a 40/5 capacitor asked by customer to send quote.
6-17-24 I’ve got about four hours here tonight. I need to do my ticket tomorrow.
Arrived at the customers home for an AC maintenance. Upon arrival I put the system into cooling mode and began by checking static pressure. I found static pressure to be failing at this time. System is rated for .5 max static pressure I was getting over 1.0. I shut the system down checked the furnace filter and verified all vents and dampers were open and checked the blower speeds. I retested the system and static pressure was still over 1.0. Customer did not want to have a field supervisor out today. I checked all the electrical levels which were good. I inspected the blower wheel for cleanliness and excessive play in the bearings. I found the blower wheel to be dirty. I performed a temperature split between the supply and return air which was 17 degrees. I moved to the outdoor unit and checked all electrical and refrigerant levels which were good today. I spoke to the customer about the issues I found and the options to fix them including a blower wheel cleaning. The customer did not
Arrived at the customers home to perform a furnace and AC maintenance. Upon arrival I put the system into heating mode and began by checking static pressure. I found static pressure to be passing today. I checked all electrical levels which were good. I inspected the blower wheel assembly for cleanliness and excessive play in the bearings. I found the blower wheel to be dirty today. I did a combustion analyzer test to ensure proper venting of flue gases. I performed a temperature split between the supply and return air which was 47 degrees. I put the thermostat into cooling mode and did a temperature split which was 22 degrees. I moved to the outdoor unit and checked all electrical and refrigerant levels. The refrigerant levels were good but I found the compressor to be drawing 127 amps on startup when it was only rated for 123.9. I also noticed the outdoor coil was dirty today. I spoke to the customer about the issues I found and the options to get them fixed including a blower wheel
Customer had called stating that systems had frozen and needed service. Customer has three separate systems and had all three turned off and thawed by time of arrival. Customer showed which unit in particular was leaking water all over laundry area. It was determined that system had froze due to plugged filter as customer is doing an interior remodel upstairs in home. Vacuumed water out of blower housing and compartment as well as evaporator coil trap that was clogged. Changed filters on all three systems and all three are operational upon departure.
Arrived for ac tune up today. Started at furnace and checked static pressure, blower wheel and amps, drains, and temp splits. Found static was failing at this time. Talked with Katharine about it, she knew about it from last year and not want anyone out today. All other operations are working properly. Out at the ac I checked refrigerant, coil, running amps. All operations are working properly. I also cleaned the inside and rinsed the coil.
Spent time diagnosing issue, found to be the handle was incorrectly clocked. Adjusted handle position per Moeller factory specs, and all works perfectly
Air conditioning service. Customer called stating upstairs unit was not cooling, found that breaker had tripped. Reset breaker and allowed system ample time to run, amp draws were normal. Systems operating normally upon departure.

Returned to reassess customers system after it had thawed out. System appears to be operating normally now. They did state they had changed the filter and we opened dampers yesterday so we are regarding the freeze as due to lack of airflow. Static pressures did read high on both return and supply side and discussed with customer.
Customer needed to reschedule
Today we returned to replace the furnace control board. After replacing the board system started up properly and ran. We checked static pressure and found static was failing at this time. We checked out the rest of the ac to find the contactor was getting burnt and the fan motor was leaking oil. A supervisor is out evaluating static at this time.
Company will come out and install new Novo combo system with softener and carbon tank. Softener will come with it two-year parts and labor warranty through LBA. And 10 year or manufactures warranty through Novo. Upon arrival turned main water off at shut off before meter, cut out small section of main water line after hose bib connection for front yard, and installed new Novo combo unit, then routing back into main supply. Tested for leaks by turning main water on and filling tank, then aired water lines through all fixtures. All good no leaks and all fixtures are working properly. After testing for leaks ran softener through regen cycle.
Customer called stated system is not cooling properly and not satisfying thermostat. It was found that coil was frozen, unable to determine thickness of ice build up due to sealed coil case. Opted to allow coil to thaw on its own to prevent overflowing and possibly causing further damage to system. Return visit will be needed to finish diagnosis.
Upon arrival we verified all operations in the system and found that the blower wasn’t operating. Checked all electrical connections and components. Today we found the control board wasn’t sending power to the motor and the blower wheel was getting dirty. Upon customer approval we will return tomorrow to complete repairs.
