Went for ac and furnace maintenance. When going to furnace tested for static pressure. System rated .8 for static. System operating at .6. Passing for system. Clean out drain line and flame sensor. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Did notice blower wheel is collecting dust. Will need a clean in the near future. Checked water panel does need to be replaced soon. Customer would like to hold off with options for now. Cleaned outdoor unit. Capacitor is passing and amperage for both fan and compressor. Customer wants home warranty

Went for a maintenance call today. When testing static pressure, it failed. After doing a CO leak, my meter detected carbon monoxide. I red tagged the unit and shut the gas off. thank you for choosing LBA services!

Changed the evap. Coil under warranty. Charged system to proper level. System is running as it should be at this time

Drafted a quote for lining exterior sewer line, rerouting, kitchen and laundry line, adding a pressure, relief valve and new copper elbow to interior waterline

We have high static pressure at .8 on s system rated with a max of .5. So we will be doing duct work to bring this down to 80% under max. We will also be cleaning out the vents and the furnace. And aero sealing the entire system. Also we will be installing a Uv light and electro static filter. Repairing a supply duct in the garage by the door rail. I would also like to give Janelle a new humidifier. However I think we should wait until hers has issues because it is actually a very nice upper line humidifier.

Arrived for furnace Maintenance today. Furnace is one year old. Checked static pressure and found it is failing, a field supervisor is out to discuss with you. Carbon monoxide readings are zero. Checked all electrical components and all are with in specs. There’s a good temperature split between the return air and supply air. The heat exchanger and evaporator coil are clean. Built an estimate on an exploratory spot repair. Depth is 3 feet in length is 10 feet. Once the line is open and we can camera the remaining portion of the line we will determine if the scope of the project needs to change or still stay the same.

Went in for a maintenance call today. Started at the furnace. Blower amps passed. Blower wheel was dirty. Changed filter due to the old one being dirty. Heat exchanger has a crack. Did a Static pressure test, it failed. Outside unit was mostly clean. Rinsed coil with water. Fan and compressor amps passed. Capacitor failed. Thank you for choosing LBA Services.

Went for a service call today. When going to the furnace the customer mentioned it wouldn’t come on. I decided to jump the system and it still wouldn’t come on, but it gave me a fault code. The code was “motor can’t run”. Once I got the code I hooked my motor tester up and the noticed that the motor was bad. After getting the part I replaced it and added a surge protector on the switch to the furnace. Furnace is up and running upon departure. Thank you for choosing LBA!

Arrived to customer for AC tuneup and During the inspection, we received a high call of static pressure along with return trunk being short of CFM by the size

Upon arrival inspected scope of work for replacement of flue pipe, from water heater up into attic. When tracking flue exhaust for water heater noticed he where flue pipe goes up from basement, leads to wall dividing dining room and kitchen. When looking at wall from entry point noticed there are 2 return vents, one in dining room and the other in the kitchen. Exhaust pipe looks as if it is sharing stud cavity with return vents, speaking with HVAC that is not legal for code issues. Scope of work will need to changed and updated as well as pricing, if this route is chosen for further action. Second option given to customer, is to replace water heater all together and install new Power Vent water heater, then capping existing flue exhaust in basement and capping flue exhaust in attic. Power vent water heater will have new 2” solid core PVC ran out next to furnace exhaust outside. Informed Shammrock of all potential issues and new scope of work was sent via text. During this visit I checked in with Derrick and he explained to me what he had been experiencing. We went to the furnace and discovered that the indoor coil was frozen. The system was defrosted and the outdoor condenser was dried. I checked the airflow, blower motor, air filters and confirmed that the registers were open. While the unit was defrosting I performed a visual check for any possible leaks. The evap coil was opened and inspected. The system did have a low charge. A leak search was performed and a point of interest was discovered on the right side of the evap coil 5 u-bends up and about an inch deep into the coil. There was also another point of interest lower and further back. I adjusted the refrigerant charge and confirmed that the system was cooling properly. Inspected the Exhaust flue for the water heater and found that it was damaged, likely during the roof replacement. It is unserviceable in this condition. Emailed estimates to all pertinent parties at Shamrock. Informed the customer that the water heater was off until the flue is replaced. Spoke with Tim at Shamrock. Once the water heater flue replacement is approved, I will contact the customer to let him know when we can install the flue and get his water heater turned back on.
