In Merriam, KS and throughout the Kansas City area, we treat each family and home as if it were our own. That includes rising to the challenge of being a Hero any time the need calls for extraordinary measures.
A new HVAC system costs around $7,000 on average, with a usual range of $5,000 to $10,000. Depending on the brand you desire and the size you need, this equates to $25 to $60 per square foot of covering. This is based on a modestly-sized home with a single unit; a large home with multiple units may have higher HVAC replacement costs.
Typical AC repairs cost about $350 on average, with a range of $140 to $700 or more. If your air conditioner repair needs are more extensive, the costs could be as high as $1700.
If your repair estimate is high, consider the AC unit’s age and repair history before committing to the repairs. Air conditioners typically last 10-15 years, so if yours is older or subject to frequent breakdowns, it may be more cost-effective to replace it.
You may have a clog if your kitchen sink is not draining, draining slowly or emitting an odor. Here are two approaches to unclogging a kitchen sink.
- Always begin by plunging. Small blockages are frequently removed with a cup plunger. It is a basic plunger with a flat rim that forms a seal over the sink hole to deliver the necessary pressure to remove the clog. Place the cup over the drain opening and fill the sink with enough water to immerse the plunger's head. Maintain a seal and swiftly plunge up and down, keeping the plunger beneath the water's surface and raising it barely an inch or two on each upstroke.
Use vinegar and baking soda to dissolve the clog. Pour one cup of fresh baking soda and one cup of white vinegar down the drain. Cover the drain opening with a rubber stopper or other sink hole cover. Allow the vinegar and baking soda to unclog your drain for 15 minutes before removing the drain cover and running hot tap water down the drain to remove the blockage.
From routine maintenance to 24/7 emergency repairs, LBA Services has you covered for all your home plumbing, heating, and air conditioning needs. Upon arrival Lee showed me two different areas in the building that water dripping down into the occupied space has been occuring. The first area is on the ground level in the hallway with an East exit. This area is dripping today and there is water on the floor. I accessed the ceiling and discovered that there is water coming through above the mechanical piping and conduit and is entering at the 2nd floor floor level. I went up to the 2nd floor and there are plumbers on-site replacing the on demand hot water unit and there is a substantial amount of water on the floor. I spoke with the plumbers and had them take a look from the 1st floor as well. In addition to this I looked at the existing hot water piping at the hot water unit and it had been leaking before todays replacement. The plumbers and I agreed that the source of the water today is from the replacement and the previous slow water dripping is from the old hot after unit. The ceiling tiles were left out of the ceiling
