Out today for Novo water softener and purity system brine tank overfilling. Upon inspection discovered that drain elbow nut on brine line was not seated properly, almost certainly allowing water to recycle and buildup in the brine tank. Advised homeowner that if issue persists we may need to replace float switch, but as of right now everything seems to be working perfectly. Cleaned up work area did not collect. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

Arrived to remedy an inoperable furnace. Upon arrival found that the system has been keeping up but will intermittently not fire up and run. Checked the thermostat and found multiple instances of a flame sensor failure. Tested the flame sensor and found it hardly relaying any signal. Spoke with homeowner about the repair and with their approval performed a replacement. Tested the new flame sensor to ensure it is relaying the signal properly. Furnace is functioning properly at this time.

Informed customer that power vent water heater won’t work with current set up. LBA is issuing a refund for prepayment.

Arrived for furnace maintenance today. We just did airflow work Sept 2024. Static pressure is passing. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. Heat exchanger looks good. All electrical components are running properly at this time. There’s a good temperature split between the return air and supply air. I changed the electrostatic filter today. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.

Discussed tankless water heater pricing over the phone. Customer is going to stick with the power vent heater that we scheduled yesterday.

Sold Water Heater Job for install on 1/17

Sold 1 star furnace for tomorrow install

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I ran a static pressure test. This system is rated for a maximum of .5 static pressure. Your system is testing at .62 on a .5 max which is failing currently. Next, I ran CO test and got a hit at 29ppm. I then looked at the heat exchanger and found a crack that is causing the carbon monoxide leak. Per the EPA Rules & Regulations I am required by law to shut the gas to the furnace off because the system is not safe to operate at this time. A “Red Tag” has been added to this unit. My Field Supervisor Jamie has arrived to help find some solutions to these issues. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us! Your LBA Technician, Tyler Rickard P.S. I waived the tune up fee for today since repairs will need to be completed. Have a great weekend and New Year!

Following up later

Today I replaced the thermostat that serves the North offices. Before replacing the thermostat I jumped the wires to check functions. The heat was not responding. On the roof the unit was cycled and the flame sensor connection was secured. In addition to this the flame sensor was cleaned. The unit returned to proper heating. Thank you James, Jon Tech notes: north unit thermostat replacement, flame sensor cleaned and connection secured.

Upon arrival I began checking the furnace. Homeowner was having trouble with with the Nest thermostat. I checked blower motor setting and recalibrated, static pressure total is now at .66 on a .5 max system. I ran a CO test and got a hit at 79ppm. I then got a visual look at the heat exchanger and found lots of black hot spots a few cracks and holes. I also found the inducer motor was overamping the max rating. Per EPA Rules & Regulations we are required to turn the gas off to the furnace and I have placed a “Red Tag” which has been signed by myself and the homeowner with the date and time. My Field Supervisor is here to find some solutions for you. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call us! Your LBA Technician, Tyler Rickard P.S. No payment due for todays visit. Went for a maintenance call today. Tested for static pressure, system is passing for static. Did a carbon monoxide test, and no co was detected when testing. Inspected heat exchanger no cracks were detected. Temp split is passing for system. As well as all electrical components. Blower wheel has dust buildup. Water panel does need to be replaced. Determined they could not get parts needed until Friday. (Was not happy about that). After further checking they were able to get parts and scheduled repairs for the next day (Thurs).
He called in another technician because this was my 2 nd service call in 2 weeks. A new unit was installed 2 weeks ago and is not running correctly. Furnace shut down at 1:32 am and was not looked at until around 3 pm.
Tucker is knowledgeable, courteous and a hard worker. He took the time to answer my questions in terms I can understand and he double checked the furnace (didn’t just rush out).
Ramon was on time; professional; and went above and beyond in his service of our heating system! Send him our way every time!
Josiah provided outstanding service and professionalism!
I’ve never had to call for help since owning my house, but I was having some issues with my AC and called LBA. They sent someone out the same day and Ramon was the best! He was so helpful and respectful, and diagnosed my issues and got them fixed right away. He was also patient while I waited for my husband to respond, and was even so sweet to my cats. 10/10 recommend
Keep him he's a winner
Robby was very professional-he listened to our concerns and found a solution. Excellent-
Patrick did great, very efficient and thorough
Tried to find our leak. Was very through, answered our questions, was polite and gave us suggestions and relieved our fears of what it might have been. leak was in the toilets. Fixed and we would call you again if we needed plumbing help.
Eli was shadowing Patrick while he inspected our AC unit because it was his first day. He was respectful of Patrick and myself and was knowledgable of his craft.
Patrick was knowledgable and explained the needed repair/ maintenance on our AC. He was very professional. He’s also a really nice person.
Ten provided knowledgable service but was unable to resolve the problem. She reassured us another technician will be coming tomorrow. We appreciate getting our needs addressed the same we called.
TJ did a really great job!
Great job!
Jamal was a great salesman with knowledge, friendliness, and humor along with transparency and authenticity that we appreciate when deciding on big purchases. Dave was excellent and thorough with installing and took the time to explain everything before and after while navigating through any obstacles with a true understanding of HVAC and plumbing and making us feel comfortable with leaving our home in his capable hands. I worked the night before so I slept on the couch while he worked and felt at ease with him working the day away. I’m not sure of the name of the man who installed the humidifier but he was friendly as well and I faintly recall waking up to him asking my permission to install. I absolutely recommend this company and am already enjoying the benefits of our water system and water heater. Thank you guys!
Ramon was great, service was fast. Thanks!
Great service!
Super nice and thorough
I don’t know the technician’s name but he is not allowed in my house again. He met with my wife to diagnose our water pressure problem which he referred to as water hammer. He had two broken water pressure meters so couldn’t even tell what our pressure was but told my wife it would cost $850. My wife declined so he said she had to pay a fee for his diagnosis. She refused once again and he said she had to pay him. She refused so he said she had to call his supervisor. She did so in front of him and the supervisor said she did not have to pay anything. My wife was unimpressed. I called LBA because of the radio ads that stated everybody there is a perfectionist. Who comes to diagnose a water pressure problem and has no way to check the pressure. The crappy part is now I get to listen to my water hammer all Thanksgiving!
Robert was knowledgeable, courteous and took the time to answer my questions using jargon I could understand. Very appreciative of this.
Did great job!
Kaden did an excellent job installing our new tankless water heater. Very professional and his work was on point. Thanks, Erin Q
