Arrived to remedy a system that’s unable to keep up in the heat. Tested systems airflow and temperature split. Found that the system is cooling 18 degrees, when we only ask 20 out of it. Tested systems airflow and found that both cooling systems are operating with failing static pressure. Found that both systems fans are dirty and impeding the amount of air the system is capable of moving. Went outside and found bone condenser coil heavily impacted with debris and the other one wasn’t exactly clean either. Dirty condenser coils will impede the amount of cooling a system is capable of producing. Spoke with homeowner about solutions. Homeowner declined repairs at this time. Systems are operational upon departure.

For this job as I was doing my inspections the customer brought to my attention of a leak from his 3rd floor shower down to his basement. Gave him a quote on a shower valve that can be subject to change because he wasn’t ready to open the wall up. Also quoted on new prv and sump pump. Thank you for choosing LBA

Today the N.W. unit’s thermostat was blank when I arrived, I accessed the roof and discovered that the disconnect for the unit was on however there was no electricity to it. The breaker for this unit at the indoor breaker box was tripped. I reset the breaker and the unit returned to operation. I checked multiple items that would cause this breaker to trip and did not discover a cause. The system was cycled twice and I monitored it while operating for 20mins. There have been storms moving through the area. At the end of my diagnostics today another storm passed through. I let the staff know where the breaker is for this unit and that if this occurs again to let us know. I accessed the roof and located the unit above the breakroom (Carrier, SE unit). The drain was checked and found to be obstructed. I removed the obstruction, refilled the condensation drain trap and operated the unit. It is cooling within the proper range and the condensation started flowing through the drain again. While on-site I checked temperatures on the other three rooftop units. All of the units on the roof are cooling within their proper ranges. Today I also performed a site-survey and included the four rooftop units to provide a quote for twice year maintenance as was requested. Thank you, Jon Tech notes: S.E. Installed full 80% system, drop/airbear, UV light, and smart AC

Customer called for out on mini split, found it was almost completely flat. Pressurized system to look for leak but was unable to identify. Pulled vacuum and recharged system while also adding uv detector. Will return to perform maintenance and search for leak further.

Completed AC inspection for customer. All aspects of system tested within manufacturer specifications with the exception of static pressure. Customer furnace is rated for .5 inwc and was running at 1 inwc. Aside from high static pressure everything else was within spec and is cooling. No recommendations at this time. Thank you!

Full system with filter box and UV

For this job, I was checking up on two air-conditioning units. One is for the upstairs and this one is operating perfectly. At this time. I replaced the filter checked all electrical components and everything isn’t working order. We just wanna keep an eye on the outdoor capacitor. After checking the larger 3 ton unit which heats and cools the basement and the main floor. It was clear that the system was often times short cycling because it was going into thermal overload. It was going into thermal overload because the condenser was overheating due to the fact that the fan would only turn on About 60% of the time. Because of this the condenser has been put through a lot and is starting to grind. the fan itself needs to be replaced and the capacitor at the very least. However, I’m afraid that it’s done permanent damage to the condenser so I’m recommending either a full system or at least an AC coil and condenser.

Dispatched for nest thermostat dropping Y1 call. After a thorough inspection of the whole system. The issue was at the outside unit. The first issue was bare wires that send the Y1 call to the outdoor unit. Second issue was a high voltage wire that was fried going to the capacitor. Third was the capacitor was not providing enough voltage to the fan motor which made the compressor over amp. After fix these issue the compressor amps receded and the fan motor is getting enough power to remove the heat for the outdoor unit. I felt like the service gentlemen were knowledgable , courteous and professorial.
Determined they could not get parts needed until Friday. (Was not happy about that). After further checking they were able to get parts and scheduled repairs for the next day (Thurs).
He called in another technician because this was my 2 nd service call in 2 weeks. A new unit was installed 2 weeks ago and is not running correctly. Furnace shut down at 1:32 am and was not looked at until around 3 pm.
Tucker is knowledgeable, courteous and a hard worker. He took the time to answer my questions in terms I can understand and he double checked the furnace (didn’t just rush out).
Ramon was on time; professional; and went above and beyond in his service of our heating system! Send him our way every time!

I’ve never had to call for help since owning my house, but I was having some issues with my AC and called LBA. They sent someone out the same day and Ramon was the best! He was so helpful and respectful, and diagnosed my issues and got them fixed right away. He was also patient while I waited for my husband to respond, and was even so sweet to my cats. 10/10 recommend

Eli was shadowing Patrick while he inspected our AC unit because it was his first day. He was respectful of Patrick and myself and was knowledgable of his craft.
Patrick was knowledgable and explained the needed repair/ maintenance on our AC. He was very professional. He’s also a really nice person.
Ten provided knowledgable service but was unable to resolve the problem. She reassured us another technician will be coming tomorrow. We appreciate getting our needs addressed the same we called.

Jamal was a great salesman with knowledge, friendliness, and humor along with transparency and authenticity that we appreciate when deciding on big purchases. Dave was excellent and thorough with installing and took the time to explain everything before and after while navigating through any obstacles with a true understanding of HVAC and plumbing and making us feel comfortable with leaving our home in his capable hands. I worked the night before so I slept on the couch while he worked and felt at ease with him working the day away. I’m not sure of the name of the man who installed the humidifier but he was friendly as well and I faintly recall waking up to him asking my permission to install. I absolutely recommend this company and am already enjoying the benefits of our water system and water heater. Thank you guys!

Super nice and thorough
I don’t know the technician’s name but he is not allowed in my house again. He met with my wife to diagnose our water pressure problem which he referred to as water hammer. He had two broken water pressure meters so couldn’t even tell what our pressure was but told my wife it would cost $850. My wife declined so he said she had to pay a fee for his diagnosis. She refused once again and he said she had to pay him. She refused so he said she had to call his supervisor. She did so in front of him and the supervisor said she did not have to pay anything. My wife was unimpressed. I called LBA because of the radio ads that stated everybody there is a perfectionist. Who comes to diagnose a water pressure problem and has no way to check the pressure. The crappy part is now I get to listen to my water hammer all Thanksgiving!
