Jared came when called by the LBA technician already at our house diagnosing our failed HVAC blower. He asked my permission to work up an estimate for a replacement system. He explained each step of his review of system requirements for our house. The estimate that he provided seemed to be appropriate for the system we chose and we accepted it. He provided a couple of portable A/C units to help cool our house for a few days until the installation crew could arrive after the 4th of July weekend. He even return the next day with 2 newer temporary window A/C units to replace the first two that were not working optimally.
Johann was very friendly and articulate. He actively described the HVAC diagnostic process as I watched him determine that our HVAC blower had failed. He satisfactorily explained that repair parts would be hard to find for our old system that was 27 years old. He asked my permission to call in a coworker to confirm the diagnosis and provide an estimate for a new system.

Sold standard full system, reinstall hum and UVC, adding a return grille as well and installing Tuesday 7/8

Arrived for ac check today. Started at furnace and checked static pressure, it is passing. Blower wheel is clean. Motor amps are within range. Coil is clean. There is an 18 degree temp split. At the condensing unit all pressures and charge look good. All electrical components are running within range. I rinsed coil clean. There is some dust build up in ducts. I installed smart ac today. Arrived for ac check today. Started at furnace and checked static pressure, it’s failing. It’s running at twice the rated amount. Blower wheel is very dirty. Blower motor amps are running high. There is only a 14-15 degree temp split. It needs to be 20. The evaporator coil is rusting out. There is bacterial growth on coil pan. At the condensing unit I rinsed coil clean. Pressures and charge don’t look to bad. The contactor is burnt and pitting. The capacitor has failed. My field supervisor is out to verify my findings. With approval I replaced the capacitor and contactor. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.

Arrived to remedy an inoperable system. Turned system on and found that it would start up and run as designed. Checked the evaporator coil to ensure that the system is not freezing up. Checked system temperature split. Went outside and checked power consumption of the fan and compressor. Checked system refrigerant levels. All tests are within spec. When checking the capacitor in the condenser found that a wire connection was very loose and could have caused an amperage spike.

Went for an AC inspection today. Changed the filter. Static pressure test passed. Temperature split between the supply and return duct passed. Evaporator coil is clean and rust free. Outside system got an Extensive Coil Clean. Refrigerant pressures met factory specifications. Compressor and fan motor amperage passed. Capacitor passed, but it is not in the best condition. AC is up and running upon completion. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

For this job I was to perform routine maintenance on an air conditioner and furnace. Upon checking the air conditioner I noticed it kept short cycling. I opened up the system and took a look inside the heat exchanger and found multiple cracks and holes. This is a major problem And a safety issue. I checked the static pressure which was also high at a .8 when the maximum is a .5. Because of these two issues, I let a super advisor know so that he can double check and figure out the best plan moving forward. The outside system has good refrigerant levels, but because of its age, the fan and the compressor are pulling high amps. The condition of the outer unit and the heat exchanger are probably symptoms of the high static pressure. Estimate

I found that the compressor in unit #3 is short to ground and trips the breaker. This will need to be replaced for this unit to function. At this time I have shut the disconnect off and the breaker. Sending info to rick for estimate for replacement

Evaporator coil is extremely rusted. Front Supply airflow trunk is too small for the system. Capacitor outside is burnt. Fan motor is also very wobbly. Compressor amperage is high, but within specifications. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

Patrick is someone I request to maintenance our unit because he does such a great job and clearly knows what he is doing.
Walker did a great job servicing our HVAC and explaining how to keep our system more efficient. He also helped explain solutions to a water leak issue we’ve been having in our basement. Customer service however was not as helpful with scheduling. They cancelled our appointment day of last week saying they had other emergencies come up. We rescheduled and then they tried to cancel on us again this week for the same reason which I was not happy about. It’s strange to cancel twice on a client same day and make me continue to rearrange my work schedule to be home for someone that won’t show up. Thankfully, they made it right and stuck to our appointment, however I got no warning that someone was on the way. Luckily I was home but it would have been nice to have a heads up or better communication for planning.

By far the best technician we’ve had since the installation of our unit! Johann was polite, did not press the static pressure/supervisor come out etc etc etc and overall a great experience. We’ve had him before and had a great experience however he must be in high demand because it’s been a few years since he performed our annual tuneup. My husband and I were both in our living room with the front door open from 9:45-11 today waiting for Dree to come or call or text. Never heard from him. Then I see and e-mail asking for a review from near by. When I was reading other reviews I see Dree posted an up date from 10:36 this morning that said customer didn’t respond.

Wanted $1200 to install new sump pump but after calling around, I guess that’s the going rate. I went and purchased one myself from Home Depot for $150 and installed it in 15 minutes. Don’t really know how they can charge what they do.
