Went for an AC inspection today. Changed the filter. System has good airflow. Customer described the system struggled to maintain cooling temp. After a further diagnosis. The system had high head pressure, due to a dirty condenser coil. I washed the coil. The system is cooling more efficiently and cooling the home. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set system for cooling. Measured the systems static pressure measured a temperature split between return and supply air. Found that the system is operating with failing static pressure. Checked interior of the furnace for cleanliness. Found that the blower wheel is heavily coated in dust debris. Went outside and verified refrigerant levels. Verified operation of all electronic and mechanical components. Found that the capacitor for the condenser is failing. Rinsed coil free of debris. Spoke with homeowner about the system. Air conditioning system is operational at this time.

Arrived to remedy a system. Upon arrival homeowner mentioned that the compressor will run for a while and the condenser fan wouldn’t operate. Performed diagnostic and found the dual run capacitor had fully failed and the compressor was running on the compressor start kit. Replaced the failed capacitor to ensure the system will continue to operate once the capacitor was replaced. Spoke with homeowner about repair solutions. With homeowners approval made the capacitor replacement permanent. System is operational upon departure.

Arrive to replace a previously diagnosed control board. Turned off the system and remove the old control board. Transferred the mounts to the new control board. Installed new control board and wired it in according to manufacturer spec. Turn system back on and ran system test so that the thermostat can learn the air handler and the new control board in the condenser. System is functioning upon departure.

Went out for a no cool house. Tested capacitor on system since compressor was off. Did replace capacitor with customer approval. Parts warranty expires in 2026. As well did sign up for membership. System is up and running before departure.

Customer called for error code locking out system. We've been here multiple times. Called tech support no answer and waiting on the, to call back to assist troubleshooting. Did find materials related to code stating it could be a board issue as well and the display is not illuminating or responding. Ordered board to have on hand if needed, lead time is roughly one week.

Dispatched for system not operating. System had an error code for pressure switch. Checked both pressures switch’s and reset the system. After allowing system to reach 100% capacity it was showing low on refrigerant and that’s why the pressure switch’s were activated. After a thorough inspection for a leak. There was no detection of a refrigerant leak. This indicated that at completion of installation the correct amount was not added correctly. I resolved the issue by adding refrigerant and documenting the amount add. System is currently operating with in manufacture specifications. Went for a maintenance call today. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Temp split passes as well for refrigerant levels. Did notice evaporator coil has some rust the bottom. No leaks in the coil. Static pressure is failing when checking for cool. Blower wheel is dirty and would recommend a cleaning.
