Arrived to assess a system and provide repair and replacement solutions. Upon arrival homeowner mentioned that another company had come out and said that the system is low on refrigerant and that there is a leak somewhere. Homeowner had mentioned that a repair was performed last year and that the condenser fan has been running throughout the winter. Performed diagnostic and found that the condenser fan had been wired in and receiving running voltage despite the inside portion of the system being off. Also, found that the system is appropriately charged but the metering device is either clogged or stuck closed. The metering device(txv) would need replaced and the condenser fan should be replaced. Shared information with a field supervisor to provide pricing on repairs and replacement. System is off and the condenser fan wiring is fixed at this time.

During the tuneup on inspected the compressor amps, fan amps, the capacitor, static pressure, refrigerant pressures, and the temperature split. all components of the AC unit are within manufacturer spec’s. Completed full cooling maintenance. Changed filter, washed coils, and took amp reading on all cooling functions. All system passed and working. I did find that unit number 4 has been replaced by another company and did not put a condensate j trap for the water and will or may cause water to go inside the build because it can not drain properly from the unit. Also found 6 to 10 screw left from the install on the tpo roof that could easily make a hole if stepped on.

Completed full cooling maintenance. I changed the filter, washed the coil, and took all amps on the cooling side. Everything is with the range that it needs to be. This unit had a 19 degree split which is within range. This unit is running as it should be at this time

Went for a maintenance call today. System was passing for static when testing. All electrical components are passing when testing. Temp split is within range passing. Did replace filter for customer. No wear and tear on heat exchanger. Cleaned flame sensor and pressure switch hose. No further wear and tear for heat. Did check for cool as well. Temp split was super low. Went for an ac inspection today. Changed filter. Did a static pressure test, it passed. Temp split between the return and supply duct passed. Blower motor amps passed and blower wheel is clean. Outside unit is clean. Refrigerate pressures met factory specifications. Compressor and fan motor amperage passed. Capacitor passed as well. AC is up and running upon departure. Scam! This free furnace inspection thing felt like a scam from the start. One guys shows up and he says he needs to call another guy because he wasn't sure his meter was reading correctly and that the CO2 was high. Well it just so happened that the other guy was in the area and he brought his equipment in and they found cracks in the heat exchanger and turned the furnace off. He gave me 2 separate quotes for replacement for just the furnace, one for $6696.00 that's with a discount and the other was $8869.00 with a discount. I called a local HVAC company after they left to do an inspection. They showed up today and did an inspection and said there was nothing wrong with the furnace. BEWARE of LBA, and just think of how many people would bite on something like this.

I wanted to get an estimate for replacing my mainline and unclog it, too. They did the scope to assess the line for replacement and I asked them to clear the clog and asked how much it would be for them to do it while they were on site. They said they didn't have the equipment in either van to snake the mainline and didn't offer to call anyone over or get me fixed up. So I went to Home Depot and rented a snake and did the job myself. The guys really were nice enough but they did leave me still stuck with a clog that I thought they would be able to take care of and didn't make any effort to get me fixed up in any way. I really hated leaving this review and didn't want to. But after asking me for a review 3 times, here ya go.

The attention and service of the guys was excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of communication due to the delay. It was planned for 12:00 and the first technician arrived around 15:00.
