This is another A+ score for LBA. Calvin did the annual furnace checkup for us this past month so we were pleased when we saw he was returning after our recent service call when our furnace quit putting out heat during the night. Of course you always expect the worse but it turned out our furnace had quit working because the flue was blocked by a mud dauber nest which he discovered after a thorough investigation. He cleared the nest and then made sure everything was working with no problems. Calvin is a great asset to your team as are all your technicians who are thorough, professional and represent you well. We would definitely recommend LBA for your HVAC needs.

Dispatched for no heat. After a thorough inspection the system was on lockout due to pressure switch not closing. The issue was a wasp nest blocking the flue. After clearing the wasp nest and multiple test of the system it is in operating condition. Dispatched for furnace tune-up. The components that are tested during the tuneup are heat exchanger, flame sensor, igniter, blower wheel, inducer, temp split and combustion in the heat exchanger. All components of the furnace are with in range of manufacture specifications. Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Performed an electronic gas leak search. Furnace is functioning properly at this time.

Recently your plumbing technician, Tory Powell, came to see us about a plumbing issue we’ve been having. The was very professional and thorough in his evaluation and explained what the issue was and gave us a couple of solutions to solve the problem. The issue hasn’t been resolved as yet since you had to order that new toilet we want but we look forward to Tory returning and completing the job. He’s a very courteous and knowledgeable employee and a value to your company. (NOTE - I would have rated you 5 stars in each category except the issue is not quite resolved.)

Went for an AC inspection today. Filter is clean. Static pressure test passed. Temperature split between the supply and return duct passed. Evaporator coil is clean and rust free. Blower motor amperage passed. Outside unit is clean. Refrigerant pressures met factory specifications. Compressor and fan motor amperage passed. Capacitor passed as well. For this job, I was performing routine maintenance on the AC and furnace. All electrical components and pressure switches refrigerant levels and safety switches were operating well within manufactured specifications. However, the static pressure was very high at almost double what it should be. After checking the ductwork, it was clear that we were missing quite a bit of CFMon the supply side. I really wanted to do an arrow seal. on the supply side. I really wanted to do an arrow seal to increase airflow, lower energy costs and get air moving to the four bedrooms however we need to at least address this ductwork first before that’s possible. Because of this I called out a supervisor to look at the system further.

Nick Larkins, the field supervisor for the technicians who came on the original call, came by after their visit to verify the earlier findings and discuss solutions with us. We remember Nick from visits in previous years and enjoyed seeing him again. As is our experience with this company, Nick was very congenial, knowledgeable and explained what he checked and his findings. He then offered some suggestions for our consideration. This is the second time Phil has been the LBA technician to take care of our plumbing needs. He doesn’t disappoint! He is a polite, considerate individual who explains what he sees for a solution but also gives choices if appropriate. When finished he has you look at his work and makes sure you are satisfied.
